For me, the most memorable comment from this weekend’s episode of The News Quiz was Andy Hamilton describing Jeremy Hunt as the ‘homeopathic health secretary’ because he seems to think that we don’t need hospitals but just the memory of hospitals. Ouch! But either he isn’t very good at sums (less people willing to become doctors given the same resources but stretching them to cover more hours at a flat rate of intensity) or his plans are driven by less straightforward motives.
