Jane and I watched a programme about wallpaper yesterday (more interesting than watching paint dry!) so today, on a visit to the National Trust property at Hughenden, I was mainly paying attention to wallpaper as we wandered round the main house. My favourite was this one, which was used in Disraeli’s bedroom:
I think that could work on a smaller scale property than Hughenden Manor and, scaled down a bit, would make for a funky shirt! I had to do a little post-processing on this as, although it looked decently exposed in camera, it turned out to be dull with the colours off true when I downloaded it. Nothing a few tweaks on the curves in The GIMP, after using the levels tool to set basic parameters, couldn’t fix.
