It does seem that there is a website for almost anything you can think of. Yesterday, getting ready to drive my parents back home, I was looking for some information on roadworks on the A361 and came across SABRE, the Society for All British and Irish Road Enthusiasts.

It didn’t prove to be hugely informative about current works but had a wealth of information about the path of that road and its history. I whiled away a fascinated few minutes exploring various roads I drive on. Not a site for travel news but a brilliant source for finding out more about the tarmac network around the UK.
