Autumn is a time for, among other things, sweeping up fallen leaves. However, I suspect that Jane and I are in the minority by sweeping up leaves in order to put them on our garden rather than to remove them from our garden!
Our church has a driveway flanked by towering lime trees and thus a drive quickly covered with leaves in this season. We popped down there this afternoon with some containers to fill with sweepings from a section of the drive and those will be dotted round some of the beds back home, providing protection for the soil over the winter. Recyling to the max!
