I took this photo of the back garden at the end of August and the view is fairly similar today. It is different from how the same scene looked in July though. In particular, the crab apples have ripened and hang red on the tree in the centre, the grass is greener and the skeleton of the Crambe cordifolia’s summer display (bottom right) has now dried and looks like an elegant mathematical model.
