After all that rain yesterday – a whole month’s worth in one day according to some reports – I was disappointed not to find my water butts full to the brim. There must have a been a blockage washed down after the long dry spell which prevented the feeder tube from working properly.

I’ve had a check and it looks clear. Tomorrow it looks like we are going to get another good dose of rain so I’ll have to don my waterproofs and head outside to check it is flowing where I want it.
