Tonight I get a jazz outing with The Other Way Up at the Harcourt Arms in Jericho, North Oxford. For an extra jazz element, we’ve got a guest drummer for the evening who I haven’t even met before let alone played with. While in many contexts that would be a recipe for disaster, jazz is one of those genres which can be enhanced by introducing, listening to and responding to new people and ideas on the fly.
