I was visiting a friend who is in Abingdon Hospital this evening. Last time I parked at the nearby B&Q, which seemed reasonable as I also popped in to buy some lighting for the front room. This time I parked in the multi-storey in the centre of town, which turned out to be a little further away than I realised.
On the walk down I pegged a few closer places I might be able to leave the car on my next visit and finally arrived at the hospital. Outside, I was surprised (and rather delighted) to see a healthy looking rabbit hopping down the path outside the ward! It looked like a wild rabbit but in good condition. Unfortunately the ward design doesn’t give the patients much of a view outside but I hope some of the patients, and also the staff and visitors who make up the community of the hospital, get to see such signs of life from time to time.
