I was in the garden this afternoon clearing out the last of the cabbage and making room for celeriac to be transplanted out of its pots. Once blanched, the cabbage leaves were a lovely rich green. Meanwhile, our fruit bushes are also productive at the moment:
In the back row you have blackberries (a variety which produces elongated fruit) and gooseberries; in the front you have tayberries, strawberries and blackcurrants. Oh, and some peas!
Some of this has already been consumed; the rest is washed and in the freezer as we build up stocks for batches of jam making in the next month or two.
