In one of Iain M Banks’ Culture series (Player of Games) there is a story about a tyrant who captures the library of another civilisation and, while not breaking a treaty by damaging any constituent part of the contents, desecrates it by placing every letter of every work in alphabetical order.
However, the following is a work not of desecration but of wonder and perhaps genius:
The original Star Wars rearranged in dictionary order. I find it strangely compelling, although perhaps it helps that I know the original very well so every word triggers a flash of memories. A hope new!
