Something that will be taking up a certain amount of my time over the next few months is an interregnum. The rector of St Clement’s is retiring at the end of the summer. I am on the Deanery Synod and thus part of the PCC and thus, de facto, part of the team involved in guiding the church through the vacancy and finding a new incumbent.
