We had a work party after church and I took the opportunity to do some follow up on the ladybirds project. I’ve swept the first floor room in the bell tower and removed the accumulated collection of dead insects, which are now contributing their mineral wealth to the church compost heap. That means that, next time I check, I will be able to get a measure of how the numbers increase over time.
I did also discover some clusters of live ladybirds — it isn’t just a graveyard but also a dormitory!
