Cycling down to the centre of Oxford yesterday, I couldn’t miss that the rivers are running high again. Passing from East Oxford into town over the Cherwell, it was only fractionally below the Botanic Garden’s riverside path; coming back the other way, Angel and Greyhound meadow would better be described as Angel and Greyhound lake! With more rain and not so much in the way of sunshine due over the rest of the week, I can only fear that it will get worse before it starts to recover.
