I expect the blogosphere will be filled with posts looking back at the past year. I had that in mind myself but it can wait until tomorrow. Instead, here is what I produced in a creative session last night:

Having tried one idea (based on some sculpture seen at Rosemoor last week; you will see the one I mean in my set) and not quite getting the result I wanted, I searched from other examples of copper wire work and came across a tree design at Cut Out and Keep. I didn’t have any beads and I didn’t want to create anything so large but a bit of experimentation showed that I could derive my own shiny baobab tree.
