One of the glorious things about the Christmas season is the opportunity to dive into the carol songbook. There are one or two of them with which I would gladly do Away (to be almost subtle about it) but many others that I love. One of the particular pleasures is revisiting familiar songs and singing them with others using all the parts.
Where I am a bit rusty on how the bass voice goes, an excellent resource is John Fletcher’s collection of Christmas Music. He has amassed files that let you listen to the individual lines and combined voices for all the songs in the classic Oxford carol books. Well worth a look if you need to refresh your memory.
