I think today will involve a fair amount of baking; tomorrow we are having an Advent-eve open house for our neighbours so we want to build up a suitable mountain of mince pies. Last year we had about a dozen visitors but, even if we get less this time, there are plenty of social events coming up where arriving with a box of seasonal goodies will not be unwelcome.
