For some reason, my first glance led me to believe that this article headline on the BBC indicated that Hull is to become UK City of Cthulhu in 2017. Intrigued — and with no regard for the state of my sanity — I clicked the link only to discover that I had misread it.

Or maybe that is what they want me to think because I had come dangerously close to the truth? It certainly reminded me of Lovecraft’s purple and mucilaginous prose.
