It appears that I live on the cold side of Oxford. The temperature has been dropping all around but I have noticed that my car thermometer consistently shows it to be 1°C lower on the drive than other parts of the city, such as down at St Clement’s or across the other side at Diocesan Church House. The same is apparent on the return journey so it is not just the effect of starting from cold.

This is relatively inconsequential but I’ll try to remember to have a look in the summer and see if there is a related pattern.
