Today has been a typical late-summer day in England. Weatherwise we’ve had both rain and clear skies. Jane and I also compounded the experience by spending an hour or so in the beer garden at the Vicky (Victoria) Arms in Old Marston. They have a music festival on today (running until late tonight) so we took in a couple of acts, mixed at a nicely audible but not overpowering volume.

I also enjoyed a pint of Corvus stout and wasn’t too bothered by the wasps flying around; another couple of components of a classic English afternoon!
