Today’s challenge was preaching at the St Clement’s evening service. My title was “Real Victory Over Death (the Empty Tomb)” and it was the final part of a post-Easter series looking at the victories won by the resurrection of Jesus. Writing a sermon is not quite like writing an essay and delivering the result is (hopefully) not just reading it out. I stuck fairly closely to my outline but felt relaxed enough to adapt it in the delivery; if you are interested, you can read the notes I spoke from.
I get another chance to speak at in early June. That will be a rather different affair as my subject will be “Faith in Painting”. I will be turning my mind to the task more fully soon but I have an inkling that there will be some pictures to project to accompany this one.
