What a delight to finally have a proper patch of spring to enjoy. All sorts of things are budding and every day sees new surprises in the garden. Today’s treat was getting back from church and discovering that another patch of Alchemilla mollis has poked it’s distinctive head up in the border alongside the drive. This plant has a reputation as a vigorous self-seeder and I was rather disappointed not to have more than the two patches I planted out last year.
The next few days might see more emerging but even three is a step in the right direction. I am looking forward to more such experiences as we continue to enjoy sun, warmer temperatures and even a few doses of rain to keep the ground topped up with sufficient moisture.
