The weather is appalling today (although, so far, more wet rather than the threatened snow) but we have still been able to pull a harvest from our garden. We picked three small ‘Durham Early’ cabbages from the back garden. I am hoping that this progressive combination of harvesting and thinning will provide room for the other plants to create larger heads but, even if that strategy fails, the tender taste of these greens was fantastic.
