I was expecting my journey down to Devon today to encounter serious problems with flooding; certainly the travel news yesterday was looking bad and online checks this morning revealed a couple of tricky junctions. Fortunately it turned out to a pretty easy journey in practise; not much rain was falling and our journey wasn’t blocked.

There was plenty of standing water in fields and the rivers were swollen torrents though so a few dry days until our return journey would still be both welcome (and unlikely!)
