Taking advantage of a break in the rain, Jane and I made an early start this morning and have trimmed our privet hedge. This is a much easier job since my parents gave me their old electric hedge-trimmer. However, we have made it difficult again by weaving a honeysuckle through the hedge, meaning some bits still need to be cut by hand. The honeysuckle has put on a small display of flowers this year, which is better than last year. If we manage our pruning without hacking through too much of it, I hope next years display will be even better.
