Misteaks, I’ve Made a Phew

A few minutes ago I was replying to a comment on my recent post about proof reading, which gave me cause to read over what I wrote. What did I find but a glaring mistake in the first sentence (l0t rather than lot). Inevitable?

Perhaps it was although I think I can see the reason in this case; the font used by default in the WordPress composition window does not make the difference obvious; the zero is just a touch rounder then the letter O. In the sans serif font used on the live blog the difference is much clearer. If nothing else, it shows why proof reading is invaluable no matter how careful you consider yourself to be.
