Pete and I (AKA Peter and the Wulf) played at the Lord Mayor’s Picnic event at Oxford’s Botanic Gardens yesterday. As you may have noticed, if you were anywhere near the area, it was raining all day so turned out to be less of a grand affair than one might have hoped although I wish every success to the new mayor, who seems a down-to-earth lady. Never mind, as the rain was good for the garden (although, typically, it cleared up shortly after the final band of the afternoon had played their last note!).

Our next planned outing is Wittfest, when we will be on at the end of the afternoon on Sunday 26 June. Hopefully the weather will be better although at least there the tent will be large enough to cover the audience rather than just the stage.
