How did you start your New Year? Jane and I got round to putting a first coat of paint on the bare plaster areas left in our bathroom / toilet after the rooms were combined last month. Just plain white so far but that will serve to protect the surfaces and give us a canvas on which to explore and imagine how to proceed with the project.

Meanwhile, Jane got a head start on the New Year yesterday. We took a walk over towards Shotover and gathered various materials which she then wove into a rustic basket following instructions from a book she had been given.

Who knows what 2011 will bring but I suspect it will include some more hedgerow weaving projects!
