Another fiftytwo picture. As I did a few weeks ago, I was playing around with my Lensbaby again. In fact, I was standing around in almost the same spot in my living room – we have an energy-efficient bulb in the ceiling light and, as you can tell from the darkness of both pictures, it is not overly bright!

I tried a little bit of work to balance the levels on this but it was too skewed to start with. It did help airbrushing some white onto the existing reflections on the glasses. I was then able to set the centre of one of these as the white point which lightened the picture without making the lack of detail too apparent and also created an interesting dancing lights effect (the light shade has hanging crystals round the edge, which create a series of bright points).
