The shot above is the latest addition to my fiftytwo project and takes a much more close-up view than the self portrait I shared last week.
It was one of the more successful pictures I took earlier this week with the combination of Vivitar 90mm lens and the accompanying macro adaptor, in the same session when I came up with the purple folder shot I posted on Wednesday.
The subject is my wedding ring. This is not the original I was married with, which got lost playing in the sea a few years ago (cold fingers and rushing waves) but the one I was given to replace it, which is a family heirloom that originally belonged to my Grandpa. I had to have it cut down a little in size to fit me; if I get tempted to play in the sea again, I will remember to take it off first.
