It is Boxing Day. Have you still got piles of screwed up wrapping paper round the place? Don’t throw it straight in the bin; most of it can probably be recycled. Some waste is inevitable with all the packaging things come in but taking a bit of time towards recycling what you can is a small step in the direction of saving the planet rather than destroying it.

Also, if you got nice new shiney things for Christmas and that means you now have tatty old things to clear out, there may be ways to recycle (or even freecycling) them. A little bit of thought goes a long way.
