May is a good month for Bank Holidays and today we’re enjoying the first of them. The weather isn’t particularly nice, so we’ve decided to put off the idea of a lightning trip to RHS Wisley. However, much as I love going to work, I appreciate a day out of the normal routine just to rest and recover.

Of course I could spend some of my annual leave and have days off whenever I fancy but I like to save that for when I have a special purpose for the time (like my planned peregrination down the Camino de Santiago later this year). Therefore, hats off to the idea of the “enforced” break that I’m enjoying through the Bank Holiday! It certainly won’t be a day of doing nothing but will be a chance to do something different.
